Today's Proverb

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." Proverbs28:1

G-d has given each person a conscience that tells us right from wrong. When we have a guilty conscience we are fearful someone will find out what we have done that is wrong and will hide when no one is looking for us.

The people that are right with G-d will stand against wrong and be strong for what is right.

Some verses from the Tenach(Old Testement)

"And the LORD G-d said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field: upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:14&15 The very first promise of the Redeemer was to the serpent in the garden of Eden. If you want to find out why God would take time to talk to a serpent, read Genesis Chapter 3

A promise for today "For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints: they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off." Psalm 37:28

Keeping a balance in today's world

I think this psalm is especially for us today to keep things in right perspective.

"Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the L-RD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the L-RD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the L-RD;trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the L-RD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wiseItalic to do evil; For evildoers shall be cut off but those that wait upon the L-RD, they shall inherit the earth, For yet a little while and the wicked shall not be : yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be . But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth, The L-RD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the L-RD upholdeth the righteous..." The rest of the psalm is found in Psalm 37 starting at verse 18 There are many more promises that we can rest on knowing G-d sees and is in control no matter what vain man tells us.

Time of Jacob's Trouble

In Jeremiah, chapter 30 there is a prophecy of G-d returning Israel to his own land and what will happen in the land "For, lo, the days come, saith the L-RD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah saith the L-RD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. And these are the words that the L-RD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith the L-RD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." Jeremiah 30:3-7

The book of Joel tells what happens during the time of Jacob's trouble. It will be worse than WWII and the Messiah himself will return from heaven to put down all Israel's enemies and rule for 1,000 years. All that receive the Messiah as king will go into the kingdom.

Many people will follow the false messiah that proclaims himself to be G-d during the time of Jacob's trouble. The ones that follow the false messiah will never be able to enter the 1,000 year kingdom. Read the book of Revelation in the New Covenant to see the end of the false messiah.

Who Shall Ascend?

"Who shall ascend into the hill of th L-RD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart: who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalm 24:3-4 Now if there is a humble person reading this who acknowledges they do not qualify to ascend into the hill of the L-RD or stand in his holy place there is a way to qualify and the first step is humility. A proud person only justifies himself and can not attain what he think he already has ( clean hands and a pure heart) but truly does not have.

The only way to obtain clean hands and a pure heart in order to ascend into the hill of the L-RD and stand in his holy place is to have ones sins forgiven."Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the L-RD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." Psalm 32: 1-2

The only way to have sins forgiven is trust in the crucified, risen Messiah of Isaih 53:5 "...But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed...."

"I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the L-RD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah" Psalm 32:5
