Why? The Jewish People-Part3

In Isaiah 43:7 G-d is speaking to Jacob and Israel as he says"Even every one that is called by my name for I have created him for my glory. I have formed him yea, I have made him."

G-d separated the Jewish people from the rest of the world to bring glory to himself.  When the world looks at the Jewish people they know there is a G-d.  The ones that hate G-d will hate the Jew also.  The Jew reminds people there is a G-d.

Why? The Jewish People-Part 2

Again , G-d formed the Jewish people to show the world that He is G-d and there is no god beside Him. Isaiah 43:10-15 "Ye are my witnesses, saith the L-RD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no G-d formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I am the L-RD, and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the L-RD, that I am G-d. Yea, before the day was I am he and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? Thus saith the L-RD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the L-RD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King."

Here the L-RD G_d tells the Jewish people that they are His witnesses that He is G-d and than G-d tells the Jewish people who He is, their G-d, Redeemer, Saviour, Holy One, King. All these titles can be found in the Person of Yeshua The Messiah

Why? G-d chose the Jewish People

G-d chose the Jewish people "...because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt."  Deuteronomy 4:37.

"The L-RD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people, for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the L-RD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the L-RD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.  Know therefore that the L-RD thy G-d, he is G-d, the faithful G-d, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;"    There is also a WARNING "And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face."  Deuteronomy 7:7-

Oh, that we might be a blessing to our children like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were to their children.  Because of their faithfulness and believing G-d's word they were able to bless their children to many generations.

Fathers Day

Happy Fathers day to all the dads.  G-d is the supreme example of  a caring father.  Our heavenly Father never leaves us nor forsakes us.  All his rules are for our good that we may lead peaceable, contented lives. May you all care for your children in such a way.

Singing with Power

"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the L-RD: and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the L-RD saying, For he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the L-RD;" IIChronicles5:13

Persecution

Have you noticed the believing community in the USA views persecution as a dirty word? Somehow the flesh has come to expect the blessings of G-d as one's right and anyone interrupting those blessing is anti-G-d. and headed to hell. ( A lot of people that don't interrupt G-d's blessings is headed for hell. It is very normal for people to be headed for hell. It is abnormal for people to be headed for heaven)

It has been said everywhere in the world is experiencing revival except the USA. You can also see everywhere in the world is experiencing persecution except the USA.

There is a Bible principle about persecution found in Exodus. The Jews were being persecuted by Pharaoh. The Jews did not worship the many gods of the Gentiles. Pharaoh did not want them to become more than the people of the land so Pharaoh afflicted them including having the male newborns killed as soon as they were born.(the wicked practice of abortion is not new) The Bible states "But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied." Exodus 1:12 Affliction or persecution brings about people coming to know the L-rd Yeshua (Jesus) as their Redeemer.

We see this same principle in The New Covenant when believing Jews were persecuted at Jerusalem and scattered because of the persecution, causing the word of G-d to spread. This caused Christians to multiply.

As people are being persecuted in other places they are showing love to their tormentors and giving a witness of G-d's grace that bring non believers to the L-rd himself. OH, to have such love, to think of others first, the lost and unbelieving. To want what is best for the tormentor more than what would be convenient for oneself. To be willing to suffer for the good of the lost as Yeshua suffered for the good of all. I pray I would look to Yeshua, the author and finisher of my faith in such times and lift him up so others could be drawn unto him. Wouldn't you want to have G-d's power and grace to do that also? To be able to put Yeshua first in life is a goal worth striving for.

How much money is enough?

How much money is enough for you to make or have? Is just a little bit more always in your thoughts? Some people spend their whole lives gathering money and are very good at it.
The Bible has a question ""For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36 The answer is , there is no profit . Money will not spare a person from judgement of G-d.
Only by humbling ourselves, repenting of our rebellion against G-d and faith toward our L-Rd Yeshua will we have true profit that will never be taken away from us or lost.

No Fear

Do you notice the world changing rather dramatically everywhere you look? Many people are full of fear. Seems we fear according to how circumstances affect us and circumstances affect us according to how well prepared we are.  Recession- no fear if one has lived below their means, saved, and has no debt . World events- no fear if one knows that "...the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men." (Daniel 4:17:b)  Death- no fear if one is prepared to stand before a just and holy G-d in the righteousness of His Anointed One ("...shall my righteous servant justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities." Isaiah 53:11b) and not in one's own righteousness. (But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;...Isaiah 64:6a) How well prepared are we? Only by trusting in the shed blood of the Messiah can we have no fear "For G-d hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7)

Why America is in Trouble

"The fear of the L-RD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7

That verse defines the beginning of knowledge and explains what a fool hates but then in Proverbs 8:13 the fear of the L-rd is defined.

"The fear of the L-RD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate."

Everything that America stands for today is what G-d hates. This is why America is in trouble. We do not fear G-d. America is become a fool.

There is hope. It is for us individually and as a nation to fear G-d. This is where knowledge starts.

The Believers Passover, another thought about Passover

Hach Sameach lePasach that is as much as I can remember and hope it is close. I was trying to say Happy Passover. Tonight is the beginning of Passover. For the Redeemed believer in Messiah our Passover is explained in I Corinthians 5:7"Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ( Messiah) our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

We can enjoy Passover as we remember The Messiah's sacrifice for us. His blood was shed for the remission of sins. Praise G-d we can be cleansed and made right with the Eternal G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by the shed blood of the perfect Lamb of G-d.

Have a blessed Passover.

Passover, firstfruits, and waveloaf connection continued

continued from last week

Leviticus 23:15  "And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the waveoffering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even onto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meatoffering unto the L-RD.  Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals:"

50 days after the firstfruits(the resurrection of the Messiah from the dead) the new meat offering of two wave loafs was to be offered.  The two wave loaves symbolized the Jews and the Gentiles  50 days after the resurrection of the Messiah the disciples were endued with power from on high and the church (consisting of Jews first and then Gentiles also) began. The message of the completion of the blood atonement and the forgiveness of sin through the blood of the Messiah began to be spread throughout the world.  Acts chapter 2 gives the account of Pentecost.  The firstfruits was also on the first day of the week or Sunday as we know it today.  Messiah rose on Sunday and the church was started on Sunday.

Passover, firstfruits, and waveloaf connection continued

continued from last week
As Passover is a foreshadowing of the Messiah's blood atonement so firstfruits is a foreshadowing.

"...ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the L-RD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.  And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the L-RD..."  Leviticus 23: 10b-12

The firstfruit was to be offered the day after the sabbath, on what we call Sunday.  The firstfruit was a foreshadowing of the resurrection of the Messiah from the dead on the first day of the week.

Passover, firstfruits, and waveloaf connection

This is a three part series
In reading the scriptures the other day I was noticing the time span of The Messiah's crucifixion at the hands of the Gentiles and of the insistence of the Jews.(All are guilty before G-d.  The Gentiles crucified the Messiah because the Jews wanted it done.  The Messiah hanging on the tree could not have been accomplished without both the Jews and Gentiles taking part.)

The Messiah was crucified on Passover, a holy day that foreshadowed His sacrifice  Leviticus 23:4,5  "These are the feasts of the L-RD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.  In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the L-RD's passover."In this memorial of G-d's deliverance of the nation from Egyptian bondage G-d foreshadowed his means of mans deliverance from sin.  "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversations received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ (Messiah), as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"  I Peter 1:18,19.

Just as the death angel passed over the Hebrew dwellings that had the blood on the door post so G-d will pass over judgement of the soul that has put their trust in the precious blood of the Messiah, for that person's sins were already judged on the tree and paid for by the blood of the Messiah.

Passover is coming

The next few posts are repeat from a series done on Passover.
Passover is almost here. All the leaven is being taken out of the house, every room swept for fear of a crumb  left in the house. At sundown on Passover night the observance of G-d bringing the Jews out of the land of Egypt  begins. It is a wonderful time to remember and to reflect at the symbolism in the Passover. Again we see a lamb being slain for the redemption of those that put their trust in G-d's word "when I see the blood I will pass over you..." Exodus 12:13 May you have the precious blood of G-d's perfect lamb,Yeshua The Messiah, applied to your sins . Just as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob looked forward to the blood being applied to their sins, we look back to the redemption having been completed through the shed blood of the Holy One, Yeshua The Messiah your King.

Superstition

One  response to the message of the Bible is that the Bible is man made religion and the stories are superstition.

The dictionary definition of superstition is 1. an irrational but usually deep-seated belief in the magical effects of a particular action or ritual, especially in the likelihood that good or bad luck will result from performing it.  2.  irrational and often  quasi-religious belief in and  reverence for the magical effect of particular actions and rituals or the magical  powers  of particular object.

This belief about the Bible can only come from a lack of knowledge of who G-d is and his purpose for us.  Once a person starts reading the Bible they will start to learn about G-d and have a knowledge of him. "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of G-d."

We know the stories in the Bible are not superstition simply because the  stories are actual fact proven by life itself.  An example- The Bible explains "The soul that sinneth it shall die"  We can not get away from death no matter how many advancements science makes because we are sinners. We are going to die because of our sins.  A sinner is in rebellion against G-d, hatred for the One that created us and the world.

Yet G-d has proven his love for us "...in that while we were yet sinners Messiah died for us"  Isaiah tells us of this Messiah and his death. "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of G-d, and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the L-RD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.... " Messiah was sacrificed for our sins and his blood atonement was accepted  of the Father.  Messiah was raised from the dead"...when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days and the pleasure of the L-RD shall prosper in his hand."  Who ever puts their trust in the blood atonement of the Messiah Yeshua will have their sins forgiven and a new life that is guided by the Messiah."Thous shalt guide me with thy counsel and afterward receive me to glory."  Psalm 73:24

A Promise For Israel

Psalm 125:4&5 "Do good, O L-RD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their
hearts. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the L-RD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel."

When Messiah came the first time it was to make a way for all men, everywhere to go into the Kingdom by His sacrificial blood atonement on the tree. The second time The Messiah comes it will to be to set up the Kingdom for all that have put their trust in Him. We can only go into the Kingdom if we accept the King. The Messiah promises peace to all who receive him.

What happened to the Blood sacrifices?

"For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.Wherefore Yeshua (Jesus)  also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.  Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.  For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.  By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to G-d continually that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.  But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices G-d is well pleased."  Hebrews 13:11-16

The sacrifices of G-d

"The sacrifices of G-d are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O G-d, thou wilt not despise."Psalm 51:17

"The L-Rd is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18

These two verses are a good picture of humility, repentance toward G-d (acknowledging our sin, that there is no good thing in us ( in our flesh) and G-d's way is the right way)

The New Covenant

"Behold , the days come, saith the L-RD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt: which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith the L-RD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their G-d, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour and every man his brother, saying, Know the L-RD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the L-RD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more." The New Covenant is also known as The New Testament. The New Covenant explains the shed blood of the Holy One of G-d for the remission of sin.  Read it.  You won't regret it.

Abortion and the Scriptures

This post is for those that have a love for the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and support planned parenthood abortion funding. ( We know G-d is not Democrat, Republican or anything political. He is above all.) With this in mind I would like to point out what G-d's word says about the beginning of life for a human.

In Genesis chapter 38 we read the story of Onan, one of Jacob's sons. Onan's brother, Er, had been wicked and was slain by the L-RD . Onan was to raise up seed to his dead brother by going in unto his dead brother's wife. Verse 9 and 10 reads "And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the L-RD wherefore he slew him also.

G-d is the creator of life. Man can stop life but can not create life itself.

People dispute when life begins but for those of us who know G-d's word is the final authority we are able to see what G-d reveals about life beginning.

In Exodus chapter 21 verses 22-25 G-d's word reveals the punishment for harming an unborn child. "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surley punished according as the womans husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound stripe for stripe."

Describing an unborn baby as" fruit of the womb" puts a different perspective on the idea that it is only tissue and not a living being. We are dealing with life and if anything happens to the unborn, whoever caused the hurt is to have the same thing done to him as what happened to the unborn baby. If the unborn child comes without harm done to it the person responsable for the early delivery is still to be punished according to what the husband demands and the judges fine for that person.

Psalm 139: 13,14,15,16 really shows how G-d is in the conception of each baby."...thou hast covered me in my mother's womb..." "...I am fearfully and wonderfully made:.." "...my substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

G-d puts each babys members in a book. Each baby is precious, special, his plan. We show our hate to G-d when we destroy a life.

The last verse I want to point to is Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the L-RD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." We are killing our heritage and reward when we abort babies.

We need to turn back to G-d's way and trust Him for the outcome. He will provide and bless.

Job's Redeemer

Job lived around the time of Abraham.  The book of Job is considered one of the oldest books of the Tenach.  Job went through much testing so he might have a better understanding of who G-d is.  One thing Job was certain of , no matter how bad things got and if he died that Job would see G-d with his own eyes.  In other words Job knew of the resurrection from the dead.
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth; And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see G-d: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me." Job 19:25-27

Job had no doubt of the Redeemer raising him from the dead even if his body was eaten up of worms. G-d would raise him up.

Rejoice not

"Rejoice not when thy enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth. Lest the L-RD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him." Proverbs 24:17,18
G-d does not want us to gloat over an enemies deserved judgement.  G-d is merciful to us and we need to be thankful for his mercy.

Are you cursed or blessed

"Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the L-RD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place... Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother... Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark... Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way... Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow...Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife because he uncovereth his father's skirt...Cursed be he  that lieth with any manner of beast... Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother,,, Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law...Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly... Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person... Cursed be he that confirmetuh not all the words of this law to do them..." Deuteronomy 27:15-26

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the L-RD thy G-d.  Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.  Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.  Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.  The L-RD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before they seven ways..." Deuteronomy 28:2-7

The Perfect Law Converts The Soul

"The law of the L-RD is perfect, converting the soul:..."  Psalm 19:7a  The law of the L-Rd is the only law that is perfect and it is the only law that can convert the soul. No religious law or govenrmental law is perfect and it can not change any soul.  The soul needs to be converted, turned back, from going its own way to going G-d's way.  "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;..."  Isaiah 53:6a

The perfect  law of G-d is all about our sin, to show us the difference between right and wrong, to show us how holy G-d is and to show us how sinful we are.  The law also shows us the need for blood to wash away our sin and to be made right with G-d.  Leviticus 17:11 shows us that G-d would provide the blood sacrifice for the soul."For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."  This verse is not talking about the animals given by the people to the priests to make a blood sacrifice for their sins but this is talking about a blood sacrifice that G-d himself would give for the soul.

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Messiah who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to G-d, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living G-d?"  Hebrews 9:12 - 14

Trusting G-d's blood atonement will change a person from going their own way to going G-d's way.  It is the only way.

What is the Torah good for?

What happens when we try to keep the law to go to heaven?

Deuteronomy 27:26 "Cured be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them,  And all the people shall say, Amen."  This verse in the Torah says if we don't keep all the law we are cursed.  Doesn't sound like any of us would go to heaven  by keeping the law.  As for someone being without sin and making it into heaven the Tanak says"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not."  Ecclesiastes 7:20  Well, we are all cursed for not keeping the law and no one is able to keep the law, what can a person do to receive redemption from G-D?

So what is the Torah good for if we can not be made right with G-d by keeping it?  Psalms 19:7 tells us  the reason for the Torah "The law of the L-RD is perfect, converting the soul: .Our soul needs to be converted from what it is(" the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked..."  Jeremiah 17:9a) to what is right. The law shows us we have sin in our lifes and the penalty for sin is death.

Next week- The Perfect Law Converts The Soul

An Abomination

Are we an abomination to G-d? There are a lot of verses in the Bible describing what is abominable to the L-Rd but one verse itemizes seven abominations for us and sums up the basis of abomination.

Proverbs 6:16 -19 "These six things doth the L-Rd hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto

him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. An heart that deviseth

wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies,

and he that soweth discord among brethren."

Rejection

Isn't it interesting when we reject the truth we have nothing but lies to believe. Then we can not understand why everything is going wrong and become frustrated and curse G-d when G-d is Truth and it is Him we have rejected.

"Yeshua saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6   Yeshua is truth. Please do not reject Him.

Israel's Promise

G-d promised Israel a sign as to the coming of the Messiah. Isaiah 7:14 "There fore the L-RD himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."  Only one event such as this took place in Israel.  The record is found in the New Covenant,  "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from G-d unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the L-RD is with thee.  blessed art thou among women.  And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, ad cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with G-d.  And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name YESHUA.  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the L-RD G-d shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?  And the angel answered and said unto her,The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of G-d." Luke 1:26-35

We can rejoice and remember during this time of Year G-d keeps his promises.Messiah came the first time to redeem us back to The Father.  He will come again to set up his kingdom in Israel to rule and reign on earth  Have a blessed Nativity celebration
