Change

The people voted for change in 2008 and America is changing rapidly which makes for instability. There are some things that will never change and we can rest on them.

1. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." The scriptures will always be . They will not change

2. "Jesus Christ(Yeshua Messiah) the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." The Redeemer never changes.

Read the scriptures and learn about the unchanging Redeemer.

Hanukkah and Nativity - Yeshua's message for Hanukkah

This year hanukkah ends the day before the celebration of the nativity of the Messiah.  We have 16 grandchildren that enjoy  Hanukkah and also look forward to celebrating nativity .  One of the children noticed these celebrations came one after the other this year and thought it was neat.

Hanukkah is not mentioned in the Tenach for obvious reasons.  The writings of the Tenach had been completed before the miracle of Hanukkah took place.  Hanukkah, also know as the feast of dedication,  is mentioned in the New Covenant. We think of the defeat of the enemy and the cleansing of the temple and the miracle of the oil lasting 8 days until more was able to be dedicated for the light.  I can think of a lot of verses to go along with this feast but lets see what Yeshua ( known as the light of the world) said on Hanukkah to the Jews(when the word Jew is used most of the time it refers to the leaders, especially the spiritual leaders of the Jewish people of the day, it does not refer to the common people).

"And it was at Jerusalem, the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.  And Yeshua walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.   Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ(Greek word for Messiah), tell us plainly.  Yeshua answered them, I told you, and ye believed not; the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.  But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand,  I and my Father are one".    This is Yeshua's message for Hanukkah.  May people hear his message.

To those that have reason to celebrate the nativity of the Messiah may you be blessed with His peace throughout the Year. May you love His law and nothing will offend you.

The Law

Man's law changes all the time according to its morals for that is what mans law is all about, governing the morals of mankind. It is obvious that we have few morals today. Our laws reflect this lack.

G-d's law never changes."The law of the L-RD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the L-RD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the L-RD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the L-rd is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the L-RD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the L-RD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. More over by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward." Psalm 19: 7 - 11

We have given up all this blessedness and goodness for the sewage of today. Because of forsaking G-d's law we have no conversion of souls, we have simple (stupid) people, no joy in the heart, no purity to enlighten us, no cleanness that is enduring forever, no truth or righteousness. We are in an oppressed state.

The scriptures gives us the remedy for this oppression in II Chronicles 7: 14  "If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Why thank G-d

Thanks to G-d gives joy, taking our mind off of ourselves and focusing on the goodness G-d is showing to us. Thanking G-d is showing faith that we believe His word, we rest in His promises. Thanking G-d gives us peace. Thanks to G-d shows love for Him and gives us love in our hearts.  It is thanksgiving. " We give thanks" is the normal saying now.  But I know to whom I give thanks, it is the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  The One who provided himself a lamb for my sins and the transgressions of the people of Israel.

Coming up to the Time of Jacob's Trouble

The reason people say The Time of Jacob's Trouble (also known as the tribulation) is near is

1) Israel is back in the land and

2) the signs of the beginning of sorrows as recorded in Matthew 24:5-8 "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Messiah; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Yeshua was speaking to the nation of Israel in the nation of Israel. For 2 thousand years the beginning of sorrows could not be fullfilled because there was no nation of Israel. Now Israel is real and the time draws near for sorrows as relating to the nation of Israel.

We know the rabbi from New York claimed to be Messiah but did not live long enough to make it to Israel. Others will claim to be the Messiah there in Israel. Wars and rumors of wars are prevalent right now in the middle east plus kingdom against kingdom. Many middle east countries are simultaneously having inner struggles for power. We know earthquakes are more frequent. With all the war, famine usually follows. You can see events progressing to the beginning of sorrows which leads into the time of Jacob's trouble

Business Ethics

Business Ethics is an interesting subject. Having just gotten off the phone with a relative

who has had the unhappy experience of an acquaintance's unethical business dealing and seeing  how it

affected my relative makes me think of Proverbs 11:1" A false balance is abomination to the

L-RD: but a just weight is his delight."

When we  do what G-d's word says  to do we are exercising faith that his word is true  and he will bless us

for doing his will.

We can  choose to act like the world in our business dealings but it is an  abomination to G-d.

Physical Jew vs Spiritual Jew?

This is a re post from last year
Physical Jew-At one time Jew meant someone from the tribe of Judah (one of Jacob's twelve sons). Today Jew means one who is born through the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jew is interchangeable with Hebrew ( one who crosses over).

Not many people can be physically Jewish, G-d's chosen people of whom pertain the covenants and oracles of G-d. The people chosen to show salvation to the world, with whom G-d walked , whom G-d used to bring the scriptures to the world, whom the Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of the world came according to the flesh Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:...and his name shall be called...The mighty G-d, The everlasting Father,..."( G-d took on himself the form of our human nature, not our carnal nature). The Jews are also chosen to be G-d's battle ax. Jeremiah 51:20-24 "Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms:..."

The Jews legacy from G-d is great. Genesis 12:2 and 3, G-d makes these promises to Abram ( later to become Abraham)"And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed

So what is a spiritual Jew? It is one whose heart has been circumcised, not literally but spiritually. "For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?...For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly: neither is that circumcison.which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter: whose praise is not of men,but of G-d" Romans 2:25-29

More about Physical Jew vs Spiritual Jew

This is a re post from September 2011. The reason I chose to re post the difference between physical Jew and a Spiritual Jew is because of its relevancy today. Many people, Jew and Gentile can not see what G-d is doing in this age, bringing both Jew and Gentile into one unique body called the church. No matter what we were born as, Jew or Gentile, it (the physical) can never change but G-d can change the sinner, whether Jew or Gentile, to spiritually become His child whereby we cry Abba, Father.

A Jew wrote an explanation of the difference of physical Jew and spiritual Jew using Abraham's journey of faith to illustrate the difference between the two and how to become spiritually Jew no matter what you are physically. I would like to quote parts of this Jew's writing.

"What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before G-d. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed G-d, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Here the writer is saying Abraham's belief in G-d's word made him right with G-d. Trying to work to be right with G-d puts one in debt or bondage.

The writer goes on to say"Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom G-d imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the L-rd will not impute sin.

Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness. How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised."

More of this Jew's writings can be found in the New Covenant. This man's name is Saul of Tarsus. Saul was taught at the feet of Gamaliel, a noted rabbinic teacher of that time. Later his name was changed to Paul as more and more he taught the Gentiles about the One true G-d of Israel.

Why? The Jewish People

G-d Created the Jewish people and Israel so the world could see there is a G-d. Isaiah 45:4-6 "For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. I am the L-RD, and there is none else, there is no G-d beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the L-RD, and there is none else."

Definitions (The Shema)

"Hear, O Israel: The L-RD (definition-self-Existent or Eternal: Jehovah, Jewish national name for G-d) our G-d (definition -El-o-heem,plural, gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used(in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme G-d) is one(definition-properly united, i.e. one; or ( as an ordinal) first)

We have manifestations of three distinct persons (Father, Son , Holy Spirit) that is one G-d. This is why I believe in the triune G-d because of what the Bible says. Why do you believe what you do? Is it because what the Bible says, which is the final authority, or what some one else says?

Think about it.

My Jewish Bible says

"But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.  Selah"  Psalm 49:15

"I will ransom them from the power of the grave:  I will redeem them  from death: O death, I will  be thy plagues: O grave.I will be thy  destruction."  Hosea 13:14

Mt Jewish Bible says

"Who hath ascended up into heaven or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists?  Who hath bound the waters in a garment?  Who hath established all the ends of the earth?  What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"  Proverbs 30:4

My Jewish Bible says...

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the L-RD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; thought they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18

The shed blood of the Lamb of G-d (Yeshua, The Messiah) will cleanse a person from all sin

My Jewish Bible says...

"Behold, the days come, saith the L-RD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the L-Rd" Jeremiah 31:31,32

Take time to read The New Covenant scriptures .

Riches

"Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death." Proverbs 11:4

Abraham was rich but his faith in G-d was counted to him for righteousness. Do not confuse riches with righteousness. They are not the same.

Wounds

Proverbs 27:6 a "Faithful are the wounds of a friend..."

Isaiah 53:5a "But he was wounded for our transgressions,..."

Zechariah 13:6 "And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands: Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends"

Yeshua The Messiah is the faithful friend that was wounded for our transgressions, by his stripes we are healed, made righteous with G-d when we put our trust in him.

The Scriptures, the Messiah, and the Church-Thanking G-d for the Jew

What do the scriptures, the Messiah, and the church all have in common?
The answer- The Jew

G-d used the Jews to give the world the scriptures."... unto them were committed the oracles of G-d." Romans 3: 2

G-d gave the world the Messiah, Saviour of the world, by way of the Jew."...the angel Gabriel was sent from G-d unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David;...and, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Yeshua (Jesus).  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the L-rd G-d shall give unto him the throne of his father David:and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." Luke 1:26-33

G-d built the church from the Jew Messiah,  the apostles spreading the gospel were Jews, the first believers that congregated were the Jews.  "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers... and they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising G-d, and having favour with all the people,  And the L-rd added to the church daily such as should be saved."

Have you thanked G-d today  for the Jews?

G-d's battle axe-the Jewish people

Jeremiah 51:19-20 "The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the L-RD of hosts is his name. Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations and with thee will I destroy kingdoms:..."

The world may despise the state of Israel but G-D is using Israel for his "battle axe" against the nations that are against Him.

Pray for Israel and for G-D's kingdom to come.

My Jewish Bible says...

"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son"s name, if thou canst tell?" Proverbs 30:4

Can you you tell who this is and who his Son is?

After the Resurrection

What happened after the Resurrection of The Messiah from the grave and after revealing himself to his disciples?

Psalm 110:1 "The L-RD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

Compare with

Mark 16:19-20 "So then after the L-rd had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of G-d. And they went forth, and preached every where, the L-rd working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen

Hebrews 1:1-3  "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds: who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right had of the Majesty on high;"

Passover and the final sacrifice

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctfieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to G-d, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living G-d: And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance... For Messiah is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of G-d for us:...So Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. Hebrews 9:12,13,14,15,24,28, 10:1

Another contrast

"The righteous considereth the cause of the poor:but the wicked regardeth not to know it." Proverbs29:7

Friday, March 14, 2014

Are you thirsty?

"Ho every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money, come ye, buy and eat: yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satifieth not? hearken diligenly unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." Isaiah 55:1

The Original Fool

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no G-d. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. G-d looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek G-d. Everyone of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." Psalm 53:1-3

Have you noticed the abundance of fools in the world today? These people think they are the enlighteners of humanity but they show their ignorance and prove the Bible to be so true and up to date.

The fool is synonymous with wicked and their end is hell.

Anti Jewish, Anti Gentile

Have you ever heard someone say the New Covenant is anti Jewish because it says Jews killed Messiah. Well the New Covenant is anti Gentile also because it says Gentiles killed Christ.

Matthew 20:18 "Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again."
Luke 18:32 also records the Gentiles killing Yeshua. "Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: and they (note, they mean the Gentiles) shall scourge him, and put him to death; and the third day he shall rise again." Here The New Covenant records Yeshua explaining to his disciples that the Gentiles will crucify him. That is pretty plain to understand.

In another book of the New Covenant, Acts, one of Yeshua's disciples tells the Jews that are gathered in Jerusalem for Pentacost "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that G-d hath made that same Yeshua, whom ye have crucified, both L-rd and Messiah." Acts 2: 36

The Jews had physical authority to condemn Yeshua and demand his death but not to literally kill him. All physical authority to kill a person was in the hands of the Gentile Roman government that ruled over Israel at that time. No one is exempt from the guilt of crucifying the Messiah of Israel. G-d holds Gentiles and Jews responsable for this sin. Anyone that claims Jews killed Messiah without including Gentiles are spiritually ignorant and some how see Gentiles as superiour to Jews. I don't know how they can be that way seeing Gentiles have no promises of G-d. Only G-d 's mercy included Jew and Gentile to be redeemed by the shed blood of the Risen L-RD.

The prophet Isaiah says"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the L-RD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53: 6 and in Romans of the New covenant it reads "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of G-d;" Romans 3: 23,24

Modern Timeline of Israel

"For, lo, the days come, saith the L-RD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the L-RD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall posses it." Jeremiah 30:3 The number one miracle of G-d in modern time is Israel back in the land just as He promised.

"Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it" Jeremiah 30:7 The next event in Israel's timeline is the Time of Jacob's trouble as recorded in Joel and Revelations,chapter4 and on

The Devil Made Me Do It?

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of G-d was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." I John 3:8  We can be free from the power of the devil when we put our faith-trust in the Messiah of Israel, The Lord Yeshua (Jesus).  His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

Little things I know-creature

II Corinthians 5:17 "Therefor if any man be in Messiah, he is a new creature..." People like to use creation for describing what G-d has done for them. Biblically creature has to do with man, we are a new creature when we become redeemed. Our soul has been saved, not destroyed and a new soul being given us. Biblical creation has to do with the sun, moon, and stars, and all the creation. We definitely are new creatures not creations.

Little things I know-which

Matthew 6:9"Our Father which art in heaven,..." People like to use who art in heaven. Which is specific and identified from a larger known group. Not just any father but specifically Our Father, the one that is in heaven. Who is a clause giving information about a person, not being a specific person but just saying where someone is at right now.

My G-d is the one which art in heaven.

Little things I know- begotten

"For G-d so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son,..." John 3:16 People like to use the term "only son" instead of "only begotten Son". G-d has many sons -anyone having faith in the shed blood of the Messiah is a son of G-d.  G-d has only one "begotten" Son, born of a virgin by the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost, G-d in the flesh, come down to redeem fallen man.

Little things I know-Confound

"Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the L-RD did there confound the language of all the earth and from thence did the L-RD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth." Genesis 11:9

People will substitute confusion for confound. Confound is to overflow, to mix. The common language that everyone spoke was mixed with new sounds so the total population could not understand one another, only families could understand one another but not the whole population. Confusion is an unnatural mixture, such as bestiality. Words and unintelligible sound would be unnatural mixture, where no one could understand. Elsewhere in scripture it says "G-d is not the author of confusion"

Little Things I know - Grace

For the next few weeks the posts will be of "little" things in the scripture that people like to change but make a difference in our understanding of G-d's truths.

Genesis 6:7-8 "And the L-RD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth: both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the L-RD."

People like to change G-d's grace to favour. G-d's grace is all about His kindness, His stooping to an inferior, nothing we have done or asked for His acceptance. Grace is all about G-d's greatness in giving what has not been earned. Favour is all about what a person sees with the eye, the physical outward beauty or actions of a person.  G-d was not looking on the outward appearance of Noah or any of Noah's outward actions. G-d was looking on Noah with G-d's kindness. Noah had a heart for G-d and a desire to please him but no person can live in this world without being a sinner. In spite of Noah's sins G-d showed kindness or grace toward Noah .

Bitten by a serpent

When the people murmered against G-d and Moses, G-d brought judgement on the peoples sin by serpents biting them, causing death. G-d in mercy also provided a way of escape by commanding Moses to make a fiery serpent and put it on a pole. Numbers 21:9 "And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived."

The serpent is a picture of Satan, the serpent's bite  is a picture of sin, the brass serpent is a picture of sin judged. This picture of sin judged by G-d is fulfilled in the New Covenant "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up" John 3:14 When the Son of Man was lifted up on a tree, just like the brass serpent, it was for G-d's judgement of our sins. The Messiah was lifted up on the tree so that who ever looks on Messiah Yeshua will have their transgressions taken away by the Blood and live eternally with G-d.
