The next few posts are taken from a writing my husband penned several years ago. The subject deals with "Yeshua" (salvation).
The prophet Isaiah states G-D's purpose for the people of Israel in Isaiah chapter 43, verse 21, "This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise." And verse 22 also states why Israel does not bring praise to G-D. "But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel." In verse 27 G-D speaks of Israel's problem. "Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me."
In spite of being separated from G-D by transgression of His law and sin, G-D has provided for reconciliation to Him.
G-D says in the Tenach, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the L-RD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool:" Isaiah 1:8 He wants to reason with individuals and show one how to be redeemed, to have a person's sins blotted out. (to be continued)
